General questions
How does the free meet & greet work?
We come to your home for a short visit so you, your dog, and Chris can meet properly. We agree routine, keys, quirks, and what kind of walk or visit suits your dog. No booking commitment — and if it isn't a fit, we'll say so.
Read full answerDo you walk reactive or nervous dogs?
Yes — with the right setup. Solo walks are usually the answer for reactive, nervous, rescue, or older dogs, and we have private field access for dogs that need off-lead freedom away from other dogs.
Read full answerWhat areas do you cover?
Based in Livingston, covering West Lothian. Launch focus: Livingston, Bathgate, Broxburn, Uphall, East Calder, Mid & West Calder, Linlithgow, and Winchburgh.
Read full answerWhat is included in a dog walk?
Collection at the agreed time, the walk itself, fresh water at home, a towel-down for muddy paws, and a photo update before your dog is settled. Medication and extra care needs can be added where suitable.
Read full answerWhat happens during a pet check-in?
Feeding, fresh water, medication as agreed, a garden or toilet break, a welfare check, and a clear update before we leave. 15 or 30 minutes per visit.
Read full answerAre you insured and DBS checked?
Yes. Tail Trails is fully insured, DBS checked, and canine first aid qualified. We can confirm the specifics at your free meet & greet.

Start with a free meet & greet — Chris comes to you, and it's easier to talk through your dog, routine, and location in person than over a form.
